I have an 06 xlt crew cab 4x4 I recently put a jasper engine and transmission into , a few months later it got destroyed by a hail storm , I’m wanting to do a cab and bed swap. So the question is does everything in the replacement truck have to match , year, trim package , engine size , 2x4 vs 4x4

 

You can use anything from 04(non heritage) to 08. Same cab and bed configuration will certainly make things easier.

Same with 2wd vs 4wd. The front of the frames are different.
