Default Box removal

Hey i'm new to this site just joined today, got a question, I have a 2004 f150 xlt and was wondering how difficult it is to remove the box, i need to change out my fuel pump and didn't want to drop the tank and figured taking off the box might be a little easier, any advise would be great thanks

Welcome to the board!

The box is held in with 6(?) bolts. You gotta crawl under the truck to loosen the nuts. Then disconnect the wiring harness for the lights. Then you will need a couple guys to help lift the bed off the truck. Not sure how difficult it is, I have never done it myself, but you should be able to figure it out.

Good luck!
