Lightbulb Big hello from the Netherlands

Hello,

I'm Martein and I just bought a 2002 F150, it's a fleetside, reg. cab. 4,6 triton V8.

It's pretty bare version, but I don't mind.

I do need to sort some us spec taillights out (all red/white) instead of the amber indicator
Along with some other things.

The 'service engine soon' light is on, when the engine runs.
The garage renewed the battery, could this have something to do with it ?
ie need to reset the ecu ?

Also is it possible to connect a laptop to the ecu? to check engine fault codes myself?

I used to have a much smaller car (quite obvious in Europe ) but due to current project cars, I do need a large parts-hauler...

Cheers

Martein

The CEL (check engine light) could be a multitude of things. The only way you can connect a laptop to your OBDII port would be with a data logging system. Personally, I would go to a parts house and get a scan tool. ScanGuage 2 is a decent system. For the tail lights, check Ebay or the classifieds section here... There are always people selling them.

Hi,

thanks, just ordered a innova 3100 code reader.
As for taillights I've seen some on ebay, but they were non oem parts...
and I'm worried about a decent fit.

I'll keep my eyes open though.
