Back in a Ford and it has turbos? Lets.
Hello all.
Just my introduction. Long time Ford fan (and driver) that happens to drive German cars more. BUT.. after retiring my last daily driver (VW Jetta TDi) I wanted to go back to big, burly comfortable American daily. I really only needed something to get my little girl to school, and the driving duties of getting from one place to the other. I just wanted to simplify one of my cars so I could sort of hit it with a hammer and go on.
That brings me to the truck I bought. I found a retired US Border Patrol truck in Austin Tx, I live in ATL. So I hopped on a plane gave them a check and drove it home. It came with dents, worn parts and nothing shiny about it. Perfection. Ready to be a dad rig. I took the front diff out swapped in some new to the truck spider gears to rid it of the growl it had in 4x4, new upper control arms, oil change and put the two less than new tires in the back.. and LOVE IT. Been a long time since I have had a Ford in my fleet... glad to be back.

Truck Detail:
Retired US Customs Border Patrol Unit 2013 Super Crew Ecoboost, had 126k miles on it when I bought it. Came with a 2 inch level kit up front (Border Patrol puts this on most units) and 3 inch out back. The dealer I picked it up from put some Discount tire wheels on it.. MB's or something. Regular ole XL Supercrew SSV.
