So I frequented the board many moons ago but a growing family required trading my 07 XLT for a *gasp* minivan. It was a great truck - a DSG crew cab with leveling kit, 34” BFG tires, and max tow. Not too long after trading the F150 I acquired an 01 Excursion as a weekend vehicle. This thing is a beast. The 2 valve 6.8 has 206k miles and other than a couple COPs and rust it has been a great vehicle. But circumstances changed again. So, I picked up an 06 XLT CC for what seemed to be a good price... Until 20 minutes after I bought it. I soon learned a fresh oil change had masked the symptoms of a bad motor. By the time I got home the oil glittered... Now that the motor has been replaced I hope to finally enjoy it.

Glittery oil.. LOL, never a good sign. Did the seller help out with the cost of a replacement engine?
