Another Noob
Ah! The obligatory introduction. Well, as the name suggests, I'm into motorcycles; but, I will not easily give up my Ford pick-up. Gotta have somthin' for hunting, or hauling lumber, camping gear, the boat, or occasionally the bike
; plus it's a good way to hide from the really foul weather (like below 32 degrees F). Even though I prefer to ride, my wife generally would rather travel on four wheels, saving the bikes for certain "special" occasions. So the truck gets used often.
I've owned my 2001 F150 XLT 2wd Supercab for almost six years now; and it's still mostly stock. It has the 5.4L V8, an automatic transmission, and tow package. I'll have to get more information on the rear end, but I think it's the track lock limited slip in a 3.83 ratio (I could easily be wrong on this). The reason for joining now is the desire to make my truck better equipped for the off-road sessions while hunting. My experience with other forums tells me that this is the best way to learn about my truck and the modifications I'd like to make to it. Then, once I learn some things, I can then share this information with other newcomers.
As for the modifications, I'm thinking:
-leveling kit or small lift kit
-locker rear end
-slightly larger tires designed for my needs
-winch
