Default I want my own F150!

Hi All... I am a new member of the forum and a Ford F150 wannabe owner. Right now I need help to select the right truck with the right equipment for my needs. Wife and I love to travel and we are planning to buy a travel trailer (7,000# range) so that we bomb around the US and truly enjoy our retirement.

Any and all opinions are welcome. Meanwhile, I'll be hanging around reading about towing, engine pros and cons, repair and maintenance costs.

Peace... Mack

Welcome to the F-150 forum! Glad to have you join us.

Have any fun performance modifications planned for the truck once you get it?

No, I'm not much of a 'mod' guy. I have been driving a BMW 135 since 2011, a car that generally gets lots of mods. Mine is still factory stock and I have a couple of potential buyers drooling over it. Something about a blank canvas, they said.

Peace... Mack

Aint that the truth ! I found a bone stock 1992 Corvette w/ 22,443 original miles on it.
The only things changed on it were the battery and oil...... still had the 1st set of tires on it.
Every time I take it somewhere I get asked to sell it !

They say its only original once..... lol

Azackly! That's what I'm talking about. I remember when the new Camaro came out a few years ago. (Hope it's okay to make Chevy references here.) It had only been out about six months when they started to show up on the used car lots with botched DIY mods like aluminum racing pedals, AutoZone steering wheels, home-mounted spoilers, Plasti Dip wheels and so on. Sure, some folks know what they're doing and their work looks great, but some of those ham-fisted shade tree guys can really muck up a beautiful ride.

Peace... Mack
