Hi there.

I picked up a 2001 Ford F150 for next to nothing. It had been abused and I'm trying to get it cleaned up and straightened out. I'm hoping to learn some stuff here and get a few years of life out of this old truck. Thanks in advance for your help.

Thanks. 2001 F150 Supercrew XLT 2WD Styleside. 4.6L. 173K miles. I got it for $300. Deal of the decade. Got some under body and rocker panel rust. Runs good. Had the notorious rear window leak. I pulled it out and resealed it for $25. Brake line had a leak as easy to find as seeing the sunrise. Fixed $30. Needs tires. Looked like squirrels had been living in it for a decade. 5 hours vacuuming it. That was the easy stuff. Got a laundry list of other things I'll get to. A/C, passenger window won't roll down, shifter gears PRND2 don't line up, hadn't washed it probably since 2006, etc. Had lean engine codes. Worked on those today. I think it's a bad PCV hose messing up the vacuum. I'll get one tomorrow morning. I hope that fixes it. I spent hours researching and troubleshooting.

Thanks for the nice welcome.

Day I picked it up.
