Hey everybody. Joined up a few months ago after I bought my first full size truck. The info found here made a HUGE difference in the decisions I made when it came to modifications and performance upgrades, so thank you. I'm pretty much dome now, except for maybe a stereo/speaker upgrade.
Bought the truck used, and immediately had the bed sprayed. Shortly after, I put on 18" wheels and 35" tires, and because the truck came with the 3.55 gearing originally, I decided to follow the advice here and re-gear...went to 4.56 and it's awesome! Bouhht an Edge tuner shortly after that. Then I out some Rough Country fender flares on to protect my truck body from thrown rocks.
Once I saved up some more money, I purchased and installed the Roush cold air intake, catback exhaust, and the tow mirrors. Sounds and runs amazing, and I still average just under 18mpg, so long as I drive nicely.
The last thing I want to do is upgrade the sound system, but don't want to spend thousands for sound I won't use. Trying to find a nice middle ground, and have found some decent all-in-one setups, but none of them have crossover controls, so turning the bass up and down is next to impossible without upgrading the head unit. Not trying to rattle other cars, but a little more bass hit inside the cab would be nice.
