Another FNG
Hi all...
I'm super-stoked about finding this site. I'm a lifetime F150 addict. In fact, I took my driving test in my dad's 1955 F100 with a 292 and three on the tree back in 1971. I just sold my 2006 F150 XLT 4X4 5.4 to my son on the easy payment plan and picked up a nice end of the year deal on a new 2011 Lariat SC 4X4 5.0 with the off road package. Gawd, do I love the new engine; however, the 95mph limiter has got to go. It's definitely a hindrance out here in the wide open spaces.
Otherwise, it's all good, and I'm praying for snow.
Take care all...

As per the request, I snuck out to get a pic of the new outfit, but my camera batteries were dead, so you'll have to settle for a Droid pic. I went with that new white platinum metallic tri-coat with the gold trim and adobe (Labrador yellow) leather on the inside. My 2006 was Oxford white with the gold trim, and my 1992 was just Oxford white, so I guess you could say that lately I'm pretty much a white F150 dude. Here in Wyo, there are lots of white work trucks on the road, and when I switched to white in 1992, my ticket consumption dropped to near zero although I didn't change my driving habits a bit; I get lots of flashes, point downs, and warnings, but rarely a ticket. It was much different when I bought red and/or black F150s...I also love the 36 gal tank, and yes, I really wish I had the old '55 back. I use to love to listen to and/or sing to that Eagle's song "Old '55" when I'd drive it on the backroads to my girl friend's house back in the day...and yes, that's a snow fence in the background; we couldn't get along without 'em in these parts.
