Default Aloha Everybody

Hello everybody,I got a problem with my 1992 f-150 custom dual tank. the fuel pump relay starts to malfunction after 15-20 minutes of driving in highway. It has new front and rear fuel pump and all 3 relays are new. the truck starts to jerk when relay gets hot, when I replace 2 relay 1 for fuel pump 1 for eec or ecm then it would run good for about another 20 minutes. Any Idea what could be the cause. Thanks.

Welcome aboard. Do you think it could be vapor locking or some other sort of venting problem? Just a thought.

I would be interested to understand why the relays are getting hot.

Are the new pumps and relays right for the application?
Are the pumps overloaded or otherwise pulling too many amps?
Is the fuel pressure within spec - thinking maybe the fuel rail relief may not be working?
Any possibility of bare wires or connections shorting out?
