Default 2007 rear

I recently got a 2007 f150 that needs a rear. One what year trucks have the same rear and how common is it for the rear in that truck to go bad?

If it's a limited slip, there's a good chance it just needs diffential clutches.

Thanks not sure what it needs yet it is a 4x4 that is fine when going straight but when you turn it feels like it is binding up and makes noises. I hope it is something simple. It is my old work vehicle that I got for $200.

You just gave a textbook description of the symptoms of a faulty clutch pack. The clutch surfaces become glazed/galled and no longer slip smoothly. The first step would be to change the fluid. When you put the new fluid in, there is an additive that is required. Its called friction modifier. The chances of fixing the problem with a fluid change are probably about 50%. If that fails, your options are either replacement, or live with it. Its annoying but not fatal.

Thanks when I take the cover off I will see if everything looks ok. It would be funny if changing fluid fixes the issue.
