Hello everyone. I've been a member of the board for a while and it's been a great resource while researching trucks.
This my first Ford, my first full size pickup, and my first vehicle with a V8 engine. Actually this also my first American vehicle too.
I bought this truck primarily to tow my Mazda Miata race car in an enclosed trailer. I'll also use it to haul my dirtbike, and stuff for my house from time to time. Before this I had a Honda Ridgeline. That was a great vehicle: comfortable, agile, great traction system, and versatile. I used it to tow my car on an open trailer many times and it performed very well. Unfortunately, it's just not rated to tow more than 5000 lbs.
I'm loving the Ford so far. Lots of power and torque, much better looking, more ground clearance, much bigger bed (I have the SCAB with 6.5 bed), and I know it's much more rugged. The only thing I miss about the Honda is the in bed trunk.
Anyway, I plan on owning this truck for a long time. I might even do a few modifications for power. I'm definitely looking forward to using this forum a lot more!
