Default 1997 f150 hesitating under low load

I have a miss fire in a triton 5.4 litre it seams under cold condition and at 80kms but no misfire indicates on computer. My mechanic tells me until it registers a code he cant tell which one of 8 coils are dying. Also when engine is cold and you accelerate you get a pigning noise but it goes away once engine is warmed up. Upon demand for power their is no problem at all.

Replace all 8 coils and plugs. Make sure there is no water getting into the spark plug wells.
