Default 1994 Flareside

Hello, hello, hello everyone! I am new to this forum and hope to find some good insight and guidance about issues with my 1994 Flareside 4.9L. I bought the truck with 287K miles on it and now have almost 309K. I researched for months before buying this truck as I wanted a reliable engine and minimal problems. I will post a pic some time soon. I assume that my truck is sort of rare as it is a greenish-blue color. Anyway, I just replaced the radiator today trying to get some heat to work. My heater core lines were warm but not hot. Now they are nice and toasty. Yet when I turn on the heat/def, I get nothing but cold air and I can see the hvac lines sweating. I did notice that the temp **** seems tight part of the turn and then loose the rest of the way. But, That is all I have found. A/C works great but it is winter time and I need heat. The last 2 years I have used a portable propane heater which works really well but propane is expensive. Any help?

Welcome. Have you replaced the thermostat? It is possible the heater core is partially clogged, you could try to flush it out.
