Default Writing on Wheel

I have a new 21 F150. When delivered to me, it has some numbers written on the tires. I have tried a couple of things to try and clean it off (dawn, car wash, wheel wash, super clean) and nothing worked. How do I get it off? It is only visible at certain angles and it seems to be the angles I look at it the most.

I am not one to recommend a magic eraser on anything vehicle related, but in this case, that may be your easiest option. Use it in the same direction as the grooves.

If its a wax or grease pen:

Looks like maybe acetone or a baking powder solution. Maybe a solution of a citrus cleaner?

Give this stuff a try, it's amazing, it'll clean all the browning off too.

Use a good stiff bristle brush, repeat the application until the foam turns from brown to white.

Drive back to dealer. They have stuff to remove it.

Honestly, due to it being in ridges like that, it's more likely to be the implement you attempted cleaning with, neat dawn should manage it, but you'll need a stiff bristled brush and go in the direction of the lines.

If it *is* grease pencil though, you are going to need something like this: https://highplainsthrifter.net/2010/...ncil-markings/

Also, that's a tire, not a wheel. See manual...

Well as far as the magic eraser on a vehicle is concerned- I have to disagree with you, I use it on my glass all the time with ZERO ill effects and have been doing so for years.

The suggestion in post # 2 would be my first try
Tuff Shine tire CLEANER ( not coating ) would be my second try
Third try would be castrol super clean in THE FOAM CAN-- not the liquid, the FOAM CAN. The aerosol foam works 5X better than the liquid on tires.
