Use a mixture of water and vinegar on your paint, 4:1 ratio. On your windows, just wet a microfiber towel with straight vinegar. Works awesome.

Default Claybar

I have never had much luck with vinegar, maybe my spots were from water with more minerals. Claybar with a little elbow grease has always worked for me.

I use a Turtle Wax brand Wax-n-Dry. It works very well. All you do is keep the truck wet and spray a couple times on each section of the truck. You protect and dry the truck at the same time. No water spots ever after I get done washing. If you want more details, I can get you a link.

If they are fresh, just use a damp chamois. That should do it. If they are etched in the clear from years of not being waxed, you will need to buff it.

Keep a good coat of wax on it and dry it after washing and you won't have this problem any more.

Straight vinegar. It will strip wax. A fine clay bar can work. If that doesn't do it, something like klasse and a white/black pad on a dual action will work. Or, something like Pinnacle paintwork cleansing lotion will also work. Both products will also remove fine scratches and clean up the paint as well.

To prevent the water spots, wash in the shade, keep the paint wet until you are ready to dry. When ready to dry, use a spa filter like this:http://www.spaandpoolstore.com/720-880-7933.html

This will get the crap out of the water and should greatly reduce the water spots. I also dry with a leaf blower then wipe down with a soft microfiber and quick detailer if it is a quick wash. This ensures I don't have any water leaking from mirrors/trims.

Clean your windows with a good glass cleaner, I use stoner's glass cleaner, it si about $4 a can from wal-mart. If you cannot get the water spots off of the glass, use some glass scrub, http://www.detailedimage.com/Glass-S...-P52/10-oz-S1/

Vinegar is good...on a salad with little virgin olive oil and some herbs.

Ok now...all kidding aside. The first thing to look at is the problem.

Is this some kind of stain that has etched into the paint and windows?
Is this something that can be removed/repaired with available products?
Do the spots appear in different areas each time you wash the truck?
Can the spots on the paint and windows be removed with a quick detailer?

If you can use a quick detail spray and remove the spots it's a washing technique.
See this thread 4 hours to wash my truck! Has to be a better way, right?

Please advise.
