Default Tree sap

Anyone know of a good way to get this off? Usually I only get little specks of sap and they wash off pretty easily with just water. I've got some now that is in globs on the glass and the paint that I can't touch with water. Tried some Megiuars cleaner wax and it worked but not terribly well given the amount of elbow grease and marginal results; I don't think its the best solution. Anyone know of something that will take the sap off the glass and paint without potentially damaging anything? I thought about getting some bug/tar remover as it says it will work on sap but wasn't sure what ya'll thought.

i get sap alot and i use turtle wax bug and tar remover works good if its real bad i will bug and tar then hit the spot with some polish and wax to buff it up but the bug and tar 99% of the time is all you need dont get the spray stuff get the kind you rub on it works good!! and you can rub bit on the spot and let it sit for a minute or 2 then buff it off may take abit of elbow grease but it will work!! asfar as the glass i think mequiers makes a good glass polish i would try to scrape asmuch as i could off with your nail or with a razorblade carefully so you dont scratch the glass then use the product on it i never really dealt with sap on my windshield but thats what i would prob try!!

Default Isopropyl alcohol

The company where I work has trees overhanging the area where we all park. It is not uncommon to have several blobs of that stuff after only being parked there a day. I tried everything to get this stuff off and finally found something that works great. Get you some Isopropyl Alcohol pads. The stuff comes off with minimal effort. I would follow that up by saying I normally put a coat of wax over the area where I remove the tree sap but for me this has been the ticket.
