Default Scratches

Not even sure if this is the right spot to post. Long story short went to uncles farm over long weekend. Washed truck today to get dirt of and there they are about a hundred scratches from the dog. The tailgate has the worst of it and the side panels between tailgate and rear tire have some. I tried some polish compound on the one side. I did not do a lot because i decided to give it some time to sink in and get a pro to look at it first. I feel like i just lost my brother. This is the only new truck i have ever owned and am speechless.

NOTE: For all the animal lovers out there no dogs have been harmed.

can any of the scratches catch your fingernail in them? If so they are too deep to safely remove even for a pro. If you thin out the clear coat too much, it will fail easily.

without photos and some testing its very hard to know what can be done for your case.

Cheers,
GREG

Body shop is taking a look on Tuesday. Some are deep as the girl said. I trust her she pulled my dent out of my door when no other shop said it could be done. The way i look at it if this works out i save the re paint.
