Default Rinseless wash

I did my first Rinseless wash today using products I got from Autogeek.

Used the two bucket system, Cobra drying towel, and Ultima Rinseless wash. I got the ultima because it can be used as Rinseless or waterless wash.

I really like this method of washing. My truck had a little mud on it. I took it to a self serve wash and used the high pressure spray to remove all the loose stuff.

It cleaned up nicely and I didn't need to use a hose. It took me a few hours as I took my time but the more I do it, the faster I can do it. Only issue I had was the roof & windshield because they're hard to reach.

I recommend this to anyone. Especially those in cold weather areas.

I have been going the water-less route this winter. Take it to the spray bays to get the heavy salt off, then get in the garage for water less. Friday night i put some Pinnacle spray wax on after the wash and of course it snowed today. I have been watching the paint for scratches since going water less and all looks good. I do some auto detailing on the side so i applied some Meguiars NXT 2.0 in November and it still seems to be holding up. I cant wait for this winter to end.

Thanks for sharing your input! Ultima Waterless Wash Plus is one of the most versatile products available, and many (including you) have had success using it as a rinseless wash.

Yep, I love rinseless washes. Especially in the summer when the paint is just dusty. I use ONR and do what is known as the Garry Dean Method. Unfortunately, still too cold here in the winter to do rinseless washes.

Yeah I have been looking at the GDWM. I followed the videos on Autogeek for my first time.

I do the Garry Dean method. I get the large economy size microfiber towels from Sams.

I've used both Turtlewax and Duragloss products. Although I certainly can't complain about the Duragloss product, there really is no significant time saving in having the spray wax built in. I try to use the Turtlewax for the spritzer on the theory that having two different products means that if one has something the other doesn't I'm covered. I mix my spritzer at 8X strength, meaning I add enough soap for a gallon of normal solution.

I do it in the garage at night during the week, so my weekends are not spent washing the car. That's a major advantage of the system. When I'm done, I wash my towels twice on 'heavy' using just plain water for the follow up. I mix up next week's batch of hootch, put my damp but clean towels in it, put the lid on the bucket and put it out in the garage for next time. Takes a little over an hour for the wash, but that includes windows and trim.

It doesn't get the wheels too good, so when you go to the coin op you have to remember to go after those.
