Default Paint brushguard

Do you think it would be possible to paint my chrome brush guard black to match the rest of my pickup?

yea i dont see why you couldnt. youd have to sand it down almost bare though i think. id use bedliner like the duplicolor rattle can kind, that would look great. if theres bare metal spots youd need to use a self etching primer

Take it apart. Sand. Remove dust with paint thinner/mineral spirits. Sand again. Remove dust with paint thinner/mineral spirits. Spray some self etching primer on. Thin layer of paint. Dry. Medium layer of paint. Dry. Medium layer of paint. Dry for 24-48 hours. Put back together. Enjoy.

I used bedliner for the roll bar I did. Duplicolor is thicker and rougher with more chunks of additive. Rustoleum is rough without additive. Just depends on what you want.

Use a heavy grit sandpaper your first sanding. Then a medium your second.

Hope this helps!
