McKees 37 Tire Coating kit
Thought I’d give McKees tire coating a try. I sure hope it lasts a LOT longer than regular tire products. You have to get the tires 100% clean before coating. It is REALLY hard to get tires clean. The kit includes a bottle of cleaner but there’s not really enough to get 4 BFG KOs clean. I ended up also using Meguiars APC then some household degreaser to finally get the brown off. I think it took 4-5 rounds of cleaning to get there.
The coating goes goes on easy enough and looks good once it dries. We’ll see how well it holds up. I’ll be sure to give an update if it doesn’t.

McKees products have been awesome so far for me. I use the Hydro Blue and Fast Wax religiously. How did the tire coating hold up?

After 1 week I just washed the tires with soap & water. They look pretty much like a fresh coat of tire coating. Maybe not quite as much shine but still pretty good. It's been raining so much here I haven't had a chance to do a second follow up.

3 week update... The shine level has reduced to just below a satin level but the black level is still very good. No browning.
I decided to try adding another layer of coating after simply wiping the tires down with ONR. It went on fine even without all the initial cleaning prep. The second coat brought the sine back up to a nearly wet gloss look.
