Question Max PSI for a pressure washer

After having moved to NC and lived through two summers of pollen, I feel I need to pressure wash first then hand wash after. My question is, is 2000 max PSI ok on a 2021? I just don't want an oops I shouldn't have done that moment. I think some of the commercial wands at the washers are higher. Thoughts?

I have an industrial 4400 psi pressure washer that delivers real pressure unlike those costco & home depot ones.

2000 psi isn't that high as far as I'm concerned.

The key to pressure washers is psi and how close you get to the paint...or items you are washing.

Thanks for the quick response. It was great for the old trex deck, but I didn't want to hurt the truck if 2k PSI was too high!

Is yours the kind you can change the tips? If it is just use a tip with more of a fan pattern. If not just stay back a little from the truck.

2000 psi is fine, but use a 40 or 45 degree tip.

You want flow over pressure for car washing duty. The size of the nozzle will change the advertised flow and pressure you get anyway, you can knock down a 1900 PSI washer closer to a 1000 PSI if you use a larger tip (opening, not angle)
Ideal car washing ic closer to low 1000's PSI and around 1.9 to 2 gallons per minute.

Stick to a 40deg tip for all of this and if you are running very high PSI, make sure you keep the angle to the pain perpendicular as well as maintain the distance as you move around.

I've used a 3500psi 3gpm gas powered pressure washer for years with only 1 incident, and that was due to a bad repaint on a bumper. I normally use a 2300psi 2.3gpm pressure washer for detailing business now. If you use a foam cannon, you want higher gpm.

My washers come with 4 tips: 0 degrees, 15, 25, and 40. I've used the 0 within six inchec on a tractor and it didn't strip paint from the frame but it looked like it would if I was closer and moved slower. For everyday washing I would not use anything less than a 25 degree tip and I wouldn't be within a foot with that one.
