Default Maintaining/Cleaning Decals

Looking for details on cleaning decals (4x4 decals and splash decals on fenders etc...) How do wax/polish around decals without chipping or getting wax build up on them.

Thanks for any and all advice.

You simply tape them off, over the edge slightly.

Make sure it's appropriate tape, something strong will pull the decal off when removing.

Something like the blue painters tape?
What about larger areas like the splash decals on the rear fenders on the Raptors?

Exactly, painters tape will work.

Depends on wax you use also. If you use something like Collinite 845, it's not much of an issue. It's clear and should be put on so thin you shouldn't get any build up. Most sealants (synthetic wax) would be ok. For example, Meguiar's Ultimate Wax or Tech Wax are trim safe so you can get it on the rubber and plastic trim without horrible hard to remove residue.

Also depends on if you will be using a machine to apply it. I'd suggest by hand.
