Looking for a long term sealant. Ceramic the way to go?
My truck is garage keep and not a daily driver, but usually 2 or 3 days a week. It's a 2015 Ruby Red F150. I want to put a sealer on it that will last. I spoke to a local detail shop and they spoke of a ceramic sealer for around $750 that would last 5 or so years. I believe it was Ceramic Pro/ Opti-Coat.
I suspect anything I get will last well due to not being a daily driver and garage keep most days.
There was a $350 option that was good for 2 years. I am gonna get more info but I am leaning towards this.
I am not well versed in detailing and honestly hate washing my truck.... I usually get it hand washed for around $50 in town. I am looking to protect the paint best I can as I plan to have the truck for a long time.
Any suggestions, pros/ cons to ceramic or the 2 year sealer?

I'm considering one on my wife's car, but I like to play so for now I'll stick with sealants and waxes on my truck. I have applied a couple different coatings to friend's vehicles
With either method, prep is key. Clay it, decontaminate it, compound (if needed) and polish. Then make sure the surface is CLEAN by using an IPA wipedown like Carpro Eraser, or any one of a number of paint prep products.
Next, make sure you follow the directions on the product word-for-word. If you don't, you won't get the desired results, or longevity and you're going to have to polish again to get the coating off.
