Default Dash and Door Panels

What are you guys using to clean your dash and door panels? I use armor all to keep them shiny but what do you guys use to actually clean them? Soap and water? Simple green? I'm afraid of using the wrong stuff and it eating my dash.

Great question.

Soap and water is not the ideal choice because it tends to suds up and leave a film on the surface; Simple Green is often too strong and could possibly damage sensitive interior finishes - like vinyl and plastic.

I would suggest using a dedicated interior cleaner, like Detailer's Total Interior Cleaner. This product can be used to safely clean virtually every surface in your vehicle, including vinyl, plastic, leather, carpet, and upholstery.

If you're looking for a little less shine and a lot more protection, consider Detailer's Interior Surface Protectant.

These two products will keep your interior looking new.

Here's a helpful how-to guide for proper interior cleaning and conditioning.

Go to Wally World and get Meguiars Quick Interior Detailer, for $5, it's hard to beat. It cleans really well and it leaves a nice matte finish.

Yeah I try my hardest to use stuff that works that is readily available at Wally World or kmart or some place local that way I don't have to order anything offline.

I'll try and use that stuff. Thanks guys!

Anybody have a recommendation for something that gives a pretty high gloss finish?

Personally I don't want anything that has a super glossy finish on my dash, that's why I like meguairs quick interior detailer, it leaves a matte finish.

Never use Amorall. That stuff is like hog grease. Warm soap and water bucket with a clean bucket for rinse. Is all you need. why put all that stink in a fine vehicle?

I don't like anything Amorall but I did try some of their wheel protectant and I have to say, this stuff works works excellent. Spray it on and wait an hour before you drive and yes it actually does repel brake dust and dirt and it last about a month.
