Hey guys, I just got back from my guys only camping and fishing trip. After washing all the mud off my 06 fx4 screw I noticed that my chrome magnaflow tip has yellowed pretty bad. Not sure if it was from all the mud baked on or what. I washed it then scrubbed it with an s.o.s pad and used some mothers chrome polish. The tip shined up but it's still a golden yellow Any tips on products or suggestions is appreciated.

 

Any tips or suggestions?

Oven cleaner? ha I would look through all my chems, and find any that are safe on chrome.
By the way, check if oven cleaner is safe on chrome, I dont think it is. What about Comet and the green side of a sponge? (or is that an s.o.s. pad?)

Unless you've solved it by now. In which case I'd like to know what you did.

if its a golden yellow theres not much you can do its caused by heat

 

Harley Davidson handle bars do the same thing. But they're stainless steel. And nothing makes them look like chrome again. You might not have chrome?
