Default black plastic help(not fading)

I use to clean my truck every other week in a car wash and after two years i noticed my truck's black plastic has an issue on the passenger side B pillars only. Now I rarely get to wash my truck and have noticed that hand washing and automatic car washing does not clean the plastic. I use Mother's Back to Black to protect all my plastic when I have time to do a 3 hour detail. I also live on the only dirt alley in the city. I hate summer dirt just gets dumped on my truck. Does anyone have any suggestions? It would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the suggestion Techrep. I will try it next time. I would love to move away from the dirt alley or have a garage but it just isn't in the cards right now. maybe in a year.

I just applied some TUF Shine that was recommended by a pro detailer on this site. It's a process to apply as you have to clean it with their cleaner. It really gets the plastics and rubber clean. Then you apply their black restore, which is actually colored coating that adheres and protects the trim.

It won't wash off, and they claim it is OK for automatic washes as well. But I think I'm going to stay away from them to make it last longer. It looks great. Bed rails, door handles, window trim looks awesome. If I don't have to detail every time I hand wash, I'll be more inclined to hand wash it now. It works great on tires as well and it doesn't attract dust. Dust will still get on it, but nothing like Armor All or some of the temporary detailing stuff.

Cerakoteceramics.com- Their Headlight Restorer and the Trim Coat, are the absolute best there is! You will not regret buying either one.

Good, LMK how you like it. I’m very impressed with both their products. I did my sisters 07 Altima headlights, they were real bad. We were both amazed how they came out. Unlike all other trim restorers, it hasn’t run all over the paint at all. I have no ties to these people-I’m just a happy customer. Good luck!

Solution finish and maintain with Wolfgang exterior trim sealant. In order to penetrate the plastic, you need a solvent based sealant, not a water base.

This is the correct answer. If you get it on the paint wipe it off immediately.
