Default Claybar

Have you considered claybaring the truck first? Removes any residual wax and preps the surface. IMHO it is worth the time and effort.

LOVE a freshly clay barred vehicle. DESPISE clay barring a vehicle.

Im not sure what you are asking. If I want to strip my paint of all wax/polish/detailer, I wash twice with Dawn.

Used dawn for 15 years before I was introduced to actual car wash soap. Never ****ed up a paint job or had one start fading or peeling. Granted it wasn't good for it but it didn't **** it up either.

I've never had an issue with Dawn messing with my paint. Or more specifically, my clear coat. If he wants to strip off old wax, car wash soap wont help him.

Definately need something like Dawn. Regular car wash soap is intended to NOT strip wax.

I've always been told to use Dawn as well. Never had a problem.
