I've noticed some guys have a "veteran" banner/flag, up by their using name on posts. What's that about?

 

As the badges represent, they are badges for those who served in the military. The tags are color-coded and currently are:
- Air Force
- Army
- Coast Guard
- Marines
- Navy
- Canadian Forces

It is a feature that Internet Brands, parent company of F150, has been releasing to their sites so that members can be recognized for their service to their country. It's currently not exactly released to F150 as far as a proper introduction goes but it's there. I'm sure an official Announcement will be made by F150 staff that will introduce this and explain how a member who served in the military can get a badge on their account.

As soon as I come up with a good but non-invasive way to verify eligibility, I’ll be rolling it out officially. I only discovered it was functional myself a few days ago and have a couple members with it just to help visibility.

 

Cool, how do I go about getting the Air Force veteran banner added? Submit DD214?
