I think that it would be better if you raised the post count of 25 to a higher number. Considering it is at only 25 right now, the majority of those posts could have been done in the off-topic section of the forums, and not contributing anything to the forums..

Also, I'm not sure if this forum has the ability, or already has it even, but maybe you guys can implement a trader rating system. If you've done a good sale, then the person that bought your item can rate you on the experience, or vice-versa.

Making the post count to higher than 25 will do no good. I see people trying to sell stuff in the intro sections and any threads actually.

 

Maybe so, but seeing as how those are not the appropriate places to be selling, the thread usually either gets moved to the appropriate sub-forum, or deleted.

Any improvement would help. If people that have 1 post, and want to try and sell something they will either have to go elsewhere, or become part of the community. It all comes down to common sense with selling/buying over the internet, though. I just thought it would be a good idea to up the count seeing as how it would make people become part of the community, establish 'friendships', and then be able to sell/buy, (if so needed). I'm aware that they could become part of the community for the required amount of time/posts, and then leave it after they try to sell, but if higher requirements are put in place then people would be less likely to do so.
