Default Suggestion for blocking in conjunction with ignoring

Why can we not block a user? Why just the ignore feature? Ignore means you don't see what they post. It would be nice to "block" a user from seeing what you post. Especially ones from other forms of social media that like to follow you around from place to place........

To answer your question, it is because that is a limitation in the core software. It only provides an ignore feature.

To do as you requested, it would require a 3rd party plugin (if it exists) or a core re-write. A core re-write is not trivial and 3rd party plugins come with security and scale concerns so they are not installed without testing, review and without having a decent amount of need. The team do read and consider feedback so if there's a large support, it is considered.

That said, anyone could get around the block by viewing as a Guest. Since the forums are public, a block feature would probably not really work very well. Especially for cases you're suggesting.
