Lately I've been seeing multiple posts from multiple people having strange characters mixed in. I've seen it in MS Edge, IE11 and Google Chrome. I offer an example below what I'm talking about.

Any explanation for this phenomenon?

I’m seeing it too. Since we are both seeing it, that means that account is actually posting those characters. Maybe they are using an app to post, and that app is malfunctioning? Possibly could be a malfunctioning script or bot also, not sure if those post here.

 

Seems it comes from people who updated iPhone to IOS 11.. if I had to guess it's forum software more than apple

most of my posts are from IOS 11.x and I do not see any issues on my posts when I check from my computer.


the extra characters are always with an apostrophe though. have seen it elsewhere too.

 

Yes, apostrophe. It's likely due to an "enhancement" made to the mobile app...

 

It's the app. The nerds are aware and are working on it.
