Default Some theads end abrupptly
I have an old 1999 5.4 that I inherited so I am looking up some problems that folks experienced years ago. The problem is that often when reading an old thread that is giving valid info on my problem it ends (drops all communication) suddenly. Is there a way I can prevent this from happening? Am I doing something wrong?

I'm using Windows10 and the latest Firefox browser on a PC.
