We are currently working on a replacement app. The current one is not going to have any/many updates to come because all efforts are being focused on the new one... a better one. All I can really recommend at the moment is to delete the app and re-download it.
Sorry for the inconvenience on this. Even on my phone, I run into "Connection Error" sometimes when viewing pictures. It'll be handled.
