How does one get the log out drop down box to stay visible long enough to click the OK button. The drop down stays visible from a fraction of a second to a second most of the time but sometimes stays long enough to click OK. Some times I have to try to log out 20 to 30 times before the drop down stays long enough to click OK.

In order to assist, we'll need some more information. How are you accessing the site? Desktop/laptop or mobile device? Are you using the full-theme, mobile theme or app?

Accessing site through home desk top/laptop Windows 7 Pro, 100meg cable modem running, 1 gig in house hard wired network (no WiFi), www.f150forum.com, assume full-theme do not really know as cannot find it in User CP settings anywhere. No other forum site I go to, 4 others, have this issue.

The feature is in part browser dependent. So your environment is likely to be triggering the concern. I'm assuming you're running Internet Explorer? Version 11?
I'd suspect your screen resolution may be the issue but without a screen capture I can't say for certain. Here is a screen capture showing IE 11 with the drop-down menu and the ability to select Log Out or any item on the drop-down:
I'd like to see a screen capture to confirm your concern is possibly due to screen resolution, but if you can't or don't want to provide a screen capture, my best suggestion would be to use the Log Out link on the navigation bar. It appears on all forum pages and is not a drop-down menu.
Also, nearly every site is different and not very comparable. Aside from the difference in core software or just slight modifications if using the same core software, there is a lot of code and design and the browser and environments can produce different results.
Screen shot is what I get and most of the time the box is there for fractions of a second. Running chrome. Screen is 1920 X 1200, 24" monitor. If there is no fix to the problem, that is fine. I have tried all three log out options and they all work same. Two shown here (navigation bar, drop down from mid thread) and one at top of thread when scrolled/clicked to "first".

So you're not having trouble with the actual drop-down menu but the dialog prompt that shows "Are you sure you want to log out" with the OK or Cancel buttons?
That's sort of strange. I just tested on Chrome (stock without plugins) and without selecting an option or the Esc key I cannot get the box to disappear.

Upon doing more testing, I was able to duplicate the issue you're reporting with Chrome. We'll need to do more investigating to find the exact cause.
