Way back in the days of FTW we had "chapters" basically was like the regional forums but each state had its own "chapter" basically each chapter had a president that would add people to the chapters member list after a person from that state requested membership. This was basically to keep track of who is in which state with a list of them. Then each chapter had its own sub forum. This is the one thing I miss and wish all sites had. It promoted physical interaction between members and increased the amount of meets and get togethers.

It seems like there are always people trying to get a group of people together and even if it was just that each state had its own sub forum I think would help out and make things here a little more personable.

Anyways FTW (fordtruckworld) still has this but the site has so few active members after their big server crash years ago. So check out their site even if you want to get the idea.

Would really like to see this implemented here, the regional forums don't seem to get enough attention I feel because it's too general.

 

I think I remember that site. Can't be for sure if I was a member or not? I was of a ford site that had chapters even did get togethers and had some good time.

 

I guess the only issue is that you are talking about having A LOT of sub-forums then.

I really like this idea. I would like it because you can buy and trade parts to people closer to you.
