Default Ignore List

What does "ignoring" do? I see that if i add someone to the ignore list their posts are hidden but are mine now hidden from them?

20 years as a heavy aircraft in the military has assisted me in getting some thick skin but sometimes forums/facebook pages are just flooded with people who clearly weren't disciplined as children...

It sometimes makes a thread read oddly too. You will see replies I make to the person you ignored but my post may be confusing and feel out of contest.

Like if I said "stop being silly", you would wonder why I said that in a thread that says "my brakes failed and coasted into an intersection".
You would hate me for being so cold-hearted.

The person you have ignored may continually call you names but you'll never see and they will get angry that you aren't joining in in the back and forth banter. What good is a one-sided argument!
See, it's best never to ignore. haha
