Default "Dynamic" ad - ANNOYING!

I'm a business owner myself, and I understand that this forum is paid for mostly by advertising. I don't mind the ads on top, on the side, at the bottom, that's cool.

But this 1 f***in' "dynamic" ad (in lack of better words) that appears below the menu and above the posts section is a major PITA. (most of the time it's CO-OP advertising, fwiw).

If i just move the mouse over it (voluntarily or not), bam, it feels like it has to pop-up and block half of my screen for 5 seconds. Then you click the little "x" at the top, but wait, that doesn't close this supid ad until you actually click outside of it.

Mods / forum owners, anything that can be done about this? It makes me wanna throw the computer across the room some days...

Thanks in advance!!

You talking about that Bridgestone tire ad that slide in from the right? Bugged the hell out of me until I figured out you had to click the A looking figure top left of it for it to drop away.

Then it just went away, probably because I always clear cookies and dump the temp files weekly.

Adblock is your friend. Haven't had a single issue ever since I installed it.

no, this one sits right on top of the frame where posts appear (below the forum menu) and just pops up like a, yep, pop-up!
Somehow it seems better since I posted, as always.

I'll try AdBlock again, I had it before on Chrome it didn't really work for me...

I started using Google Chrome along with Adblock Plus. No more popups ever.
Both are free. The Google Chrome is a nice browser that allows for many different programs, pages to be open at the same time and easy to switch from one to another.

I use Chrome for 95% of my browsing, but for some reasons I still use Opera for 3 things:
Gmail
this forum
MotorTrend

Dont ask me why

AdBlock seems to work great on that particular ad!

You know there is Adblock and there is Adblock Plus?
This and other forums perform very well with Google Chrome.
