10% max of total income. Period. That's being financially intelligent. All else is desire and emotion.

Hell no! Mine is 7% and that's too much! I think my payment is higher than many I see on here too.

I could have financed for 1 or 2 years less and it would have been about 10% which would be ridiculous for me to pay. My house is 12% and I would never even think of a vehicle payment being close to my house payment. Granted the house is a 15 year loan making the payment a lot higher than a 20 or 30 year mortgage.

Too high. I wouldn’t do it.

Even if you live with your parents, you’ll want your own place before your truck is paid off....which will be a huge hindrance.

If you don't have a mortgage, or kids that need to go to college, or any nasty habits that need feeding then I say let er' rip bud

Wouldn't be a factor since I don't have a dream truck.

I would hope no bank or other lending institution would allow someone to take on such a loan.

Mine is the same as my mortgage. My mortgage is low though, its the taxes and insurance that make up the majority of my monthly mortgage bill. I pay more for the tax and insurance than the mortgage or the truck! Both car and truck payments are 1/4 of my monthly, mine that is, if I have my wife pay for her car, then it's far lower.

If you do decide to get it, do yourself a HUGE favor and get GAP insurance. You never know if you will need it someday, but will be forever grateful you did if you do.
