Are you from a brand loyal family?
#11
I grew up in a strictly Ford family so much so we all even bought from the same salesman at the same dealership haha. So I guess that makes us pretty loyal! Love my F150 and when her times up I'll be moving up to a one ton!

My whole family is ford but I had a f150 then went with a dodge hemi for three months tranny went out then to a Nissan titan that got horrible gas mileage and wouldn't haul anything now back to a f150 and staying there back to were it all started. BLEED FORD BLUE!

yeah, my dad is pretty ford loyal. he has classic Oldsmobile's and a chevy tow truck but all his other trucks are ford and he prefers ford over the other makes so i guess you could say it was handed down to me as well. i like other manufacturers but i prefer fords.

I became Ford loyal . I started out with a Pontiac T/A . My Brother is a Chevy guy for the most part . My dad has also became partial to Fords . I have had allot of vehicles . Every brand at one time or another . My friends say that after the second tank of gas it's time for me to get a new one . That's not completely true but I have owned a new vehicle less than 30 days . The last non Ford I bought was a new 300C w/ Hemi for the wife in 06 . What a p.o.s. ! For me every time I stray away from Ford I end up hating what ever it is . I have only had one bad Ford and it was from what I can tell a fluke . I have owned over 100 vehicles since I turned 16 , not all new ( sometimes as many as 8 at a time) All the Fords have been good to me . I can't say that for the rest . My wives 2000 impala was decent but lost a tranny at 40k , her Caddillac Seville was a complete p.o.s (new) so was her Camaro , and so was her 300 . I was given a brand new chevy van as a work truck that was broken more often than driven .
For me it will be Ford from now on (unless they become bad vehicles , which I doubt)
By the way , the 2 best vehicles I ever owned were an 89 Mustang LX 5.0 . I beat the **** out of it every time I drove it for 20k miles without as much as a hiccup . Then there was my 93 Ford E250 inline 6 , still on the road today with 450k although I sold it to a friend . (original engine and trans still going strong)

Heck, not just the family, my whole rural community growing up were Ford loyal. Outnumbered other brands probably 6-7 to 1. 10 to1 in trucks. I'm on my 11th Ford now so yeah, I guess I'm pretty loyal.
69 Mustang
79 Mustang Pace Car
83 Cougar
86 Thunderbird Turbocoupe
89 Thunderbird Supercoupe
89 Mustang 5.0 (Got carried away redoing it after the 1/4 million mile mark, and now it's parked in the garage. Told my son he could have it when he turned 30 )
91 F150 4x4
86 Taurus
97 F150 Ext Cab 4x4 (My current ride)
98 Lincoln Town Car (Wife's current ride)
2002 Explorer SporTrac 4x4 (Son's current ride)
I did own a 78 Oldsmobile Cutlass Calais. Biggest POS ever. All it took was one to know I'd never own anything but Fords again.

My family mostly had GM.
Right now I have one of each: 83 Pontiac TA, 83 Plymouth Turismo and a 2010 F150.
Previous truck was a 91 Ranger bought in 2000 as a winter beater but became my daily and cost next nothing to maintain for 10 years so Ford was high on the list for another truck. Looked at GMC and Ford and the 150 seemed the best choice - good value, drives great and I like how it looks so hoping to get 20 years out of it.
Had an Edge on rental for 2 weeks last summer and if I was looking for a small vehicle I'd get one of them for sure.

Parents mostly owned Lincolns and Thunderbirds, but had a mix of Buick, Oldsmobile and Cadillac in there too. I currently own 7 vehicles, 6 of which are Fords: 1956 Thunderbird, 1966 Thunderbird, 1979 Lincoln Mark V (15,00 original miles), 2004 Thunderbird, 2010 Mustang GT, 2011 F-150 5.0 screw 4X4, and the one that's not Ford: 2009 Pontiac Solstice. Most of my friends gave me crap about buying a GM when I got the Sol, but it is a great little car for top down driving with the manual and gets great mileage. It spends winters up on the lift in the back of my garage.
My brother who lives on a farm in Iowa, always bought Chevy trucks. When I was there last Thanksgiving, he told me to look in the garage. He had just bought a 2010 F-150! Said he didn't like the style of the front bumper on the new Chevy trucks, with the big hunk of plastic on each end...

My family has owned Fords my whole life. I have always had a Ford and always will. I don't hate other brands at all, but I do love Ford! So, yes we are a Ford loyal family and always will be.
