Default Wrangler SR-A

What kind of mileage is everyone getting out of the factory SR-A's?

I am looking for when people have changed them out from being worn out not just to change them because you do not like them.

The dealer replaced mine at 5k because they were so badly cupped and worn down to 6/32nds, i have 4k on the new ones and just rotated them and their doing better but not much.

Goodyear dont make good tires lol i have had a set of tires on my truck, they were the silent armours. only lasted 30k. had a set of forteras on my moms jeep. they got replaced at like 40ish and they were way under min. tread depth. go with a higher quality tire like BFG or NITTO. TOYOs are pretty good too.

Had mine swapped to Michelin MS/2s because a previous set on my Sierra at the time lasted 19K miles and weren't that great from the get go on wet pavement, mud, snow, or ice.

My MS/2s have even done offroading on about everything except sharp rocks and they do surprisingly well for a VERY well mannered just "all season" tire. Now the AT/2s will do better off road but only slightly, cost more at least when I got my MS/2s, don't ride or handle as well, and don't get as good of mpgs.

ok
looks like nobody has worn out a set of these yet. LOL

What kind of mileage do you have on the wrangler SR-A's at this time and how many more do you think you will get before you will change them out.

I currently have 82k Km on mine and thinking i will get about 120k to 130k before i get new ones. next fall.

I've often wondered if there's a difference between Goodyear's factory installed tires and the replacements you go into buy? From the Eagle IIs that came on my ole 442 that only lasted 22K to the Wranglers that came on my Sierra only lasting 19K, we did buy a set of Response Edge for our Volvo that were good enough and the "replacement" Eagles I put on my 442 have held up pretty well so far. Perhaps factory tires are a softer / cheaper compound?

That said, if you're going to get 120Km ~ 70K miles out of the Wranglers that came on your rig, that's pretty much unheard of. Know quite a few people personally that have gone through the Goodyear Wranglers on their new trucks and few good words. Tirerack also rates them pretty low too.

I do mostly highway driving and there is snow 4 months out of the year so they do not wear out really fast.

on my 2000 i got 150k out of the factory firestones.

I will not do another winter with these starting to slip and slide a little more than i like but not enough to justify $1100.00 this winter.

I sell tires and goodyears are terrible. I don't have a clue on gas mileage but I know ride quality is aweful. Get michelins or bfgoodrich. Michelins will be better mpg and better ride for sure

Got 22k on mine...I haven't gotten stuck, stock truck so I don't do anything too wild with it, but it has been in muddy trails and VERY deep snow.

I still have at least another 20k on these tires as they're barely half worn according to the new tread depth numbers.

I rotate them every 5k...

No complaints at all with mine. 3rd winter season. Extremely quiet on the road.

I like them.

After nitro'ing them, I've never checked the pressure, since. Gets done with oil changes. Rotated, too.

When I do replace them, (if ever) I'll be getting some Michy's cuz I can get a better deal on them.
