Is it worth it? Will it last? Am I paying too much?

Hey there!
Im new to the truck community and am looking at buying my first truck. I just need advice on if it’s a good deal or not. It’s a 2016 150 Lariat Sport, there asking 42k (CAD) but I figure I’ll be able to get that number closer to 38-39k (CAD) because it was rear ended once and the repair wasn’t too costly but a collision is still a collision. It’s got 98,000 kilometres (60,894 Miles) on it, and taking a look at the service records it seems to have been serviced always on time and nothing looks odd. I’m in love with this truck it’s got everything I’ve ever wanted in a vehicle but I don’t want to spend 40k on something just for it to quit.

I'm not sure about the conversion of money, but trucks are well over priced.
I purchased more truck than that at the end of 2019 and paid far less. I also had 64,000, but that was on a 4 year old, for you the miles are lower but not enough to drive up the price.
I'm hopeful that 41,000 usd is on par because I can make a boat load of money on a trade when I start shopping.

It looked like the chip shortage was over but now it seems to be back on again. Used trucks will be the only ones available. Prices will probably be going even higher. A factor for your calculation.

The Canadian/Dollar conversion is 0.793 right now. $41866 * 0.793 = $33,200 (U.S.). It does not sound like a bad price. Two months ago, I was offered $38,500 cash at the dealership by a used car manager for my truck with 58,000 miles (no new car purchase required), but the new car inventory and prices were not worthwhile. The dealer had three trucks on the lot. One Lariat for $75K, an XLT, & XL.
EDIT 1: I failed the simple math problem. $41866/0.79=$52,995 U.S.. it is really expensive. I paid the same price for mine when brand new and it is fully loaded.
EDIT 2: See my first answer since I clearly do not know how to convert currency.
