YAY! When I was in an accident and my truck was in the body shop, they gave us a Titan as a rental. That thing sucked so much gas money out of our pocket!!! And I agree, it is very ugly!

Ur saying his Nissan Titan truck is getting 36 mpg? check ur #'s if you can, id like to know what mod he is using to get that lol...Im sure we all would.

If i remember right... 1 us gallon = .83 imperial gallons....
Well, yes, the truck would make ~25mpUSg.

I can contact the fellow and confirm what he is getting for mileage, if anyone really cares.

Now I do not expect flaming for this since I am an F150 owner proudly.

I personally like the Titan. I would buy one of them before I bought a Tundra. I think that the stance is alot more rugged and the 5.6 sounds nice as hell, IMHO. I think the interior is a little cheap but it is also a Japanese built car for a market that isn't luxury focused. If it were supposed to be glamorous, it would be wearing an Infiniti badge. I would own one if I ever decided to shy away from Ford. Mostly because being a Ford guy, going into a Dodge or Cheby will cause instantaneous spontaneous human combustion.

WEll thats what that whole article is about...It is the most expensive truck out there and when compared to the big 3 trucks, you get more bang for the buck due to quality of interior and a few other things mpg etc...Its the worst truck for the buck is what its saying. Right?

Yes. I still would own a Titan before a Silverado, Ram or Tundra. When looking at trucks that when fully equipped, top the $40k plus range- in my mind, why squavel over $3-4k?

I agree the Titan is probably the second best truck on the market and they led the way by putting lockers on a stock truck, and if I remember there was a thread on this forum complaining of the low quality of the F150 interior. One thing is for sure if there's no Titan I'll continue to buy only Ford, nothing else is worth even taking a test drive cruise.

Since they are coming out with the new Nissan based on the Dodge Ram,

how about a Mazda full size pickup based on the F-150???

DITTO
read the article again..........the depreciation is 50% in less than 5 years and 13 mpg tops is ripping out the bottom of your pocket.
I had an employee buy one a few years ago I think right after they came out. We all went on an atv trip down in the mountains and he filled 3 times to our 1.5........proof is what it is. The truck looks okay, sounds real mean, but takes your money and sends to japan......simple as that.

OK, my friend's truck is actually a 2.5L turbo diesel, 120hp. He reports 40 to the gallon, but that is an imperial gallon. Mileage per USg is about 33.
So my mention of 30-to-the-gallon was right....just the wrong fuel.

So, I must concur: The Nissan Titan V8 does make lousy fuel mileage.
