Worst Ford Dealership You've Been To and Why!

Place i bought my truck from. Will NEVER go back. My 2010 SHO broke down, needed new injectors. Quoted me $2k for fix. I said screw it, i'll just buy my dream truck. Couldn't find it anywhere so i had to order. They quoted me $6200 for my taurus if repaired, or $5500 as is. Problem was, the truck takes 2 months to order and come in, i also need to go to work for 2 months....so reluctantly i fixed my taurus knowing at least some of the repair money would net out when i traded it back in. I only put 150 miles on the taurus in 2 months. Drove my wife's car as much as i could, worked from home when i could. Put a $1000 deposit down, which they told me was non-refundable.
We agreed on a price for the truck and trade. During the 2 months wait, i realized i qualified for $500 military discount from Ford as well as i got a $3000 cash offer from Ford. I read that some dealerships won't combine those, which is fine. Finally my truck showed up, this is right after the fire Ford had at the plants which delayed building them.
I go in to do the deal. I get the paperwork, They offered 3900 for my trade. I gave them the Ford cash offer and the military discount and they told me "the best we can do...$2700 off" I said "WTF?" They said, "if you don't like it, walk and we keep the $1000 deposit." I felt horrible. I didn't want to walk and order from somewhere else, have the process start all over again, give another $1000, drive my car longer and if something else breaks down...I felt totally stuck. First time i've ever ordered a vehicle. Most of the time if they dicked me around, i would get up and walk out, but i knew (and they knew) i couldn't find this vehicle anywhere else in the exact specs i wanted.
I also ordered a bed divider. I saw on the paperwork (after the fact) that they over charged me $20 than the price they listed on their website. So when the time came for review, i ripped them a new ******* on it. Manager called me up, pissed, demanded i change my review. I said i'll change anything that isn't true, point out one thing that was false." He offered me a free oil change and said the sales manager that i dealt with before was fired (highly doubt that, just an easy way to get out of things. "yeah, the guy that dicked you, we fired him, you know, jon smith...")
Told him I didn't care, hope all of it was worth it because you lost all my business. All service, recommendations, future purchasing, everything. Keep your oil change and F off.
That was my first day of my dream vehicle, which i had been saving up for the last 9 years, dreaming about the day i could take ownership. I really wanted (and needed in a lot of cases) a truck and didn't want to spend money on something that wasn't perfect. I finally get it, driving off the lot, pissed off.
I love the truck though.

Bought my truck, Fully Loaded XLT FX4 5.0 SuperCrew with Moon roof and the color I wanted from Wade Ford in Smyrna Georgia. The trucks were drying up in this area and was the only Lightning Blue with the moon roof left anywhere I could find. They offered 17K off but that was with Ford Credit at 8% (I got 2.89 thru my credit union) so they removed $1250.00 for not using it. They only offered me 1K for my trade in which was worth $3500 on NADA. So I kept it. So by the time it came to signing on the dotted line the price was 46.7K from a Sticker of 54K. Not a deal worth bragging about but I got my truck. I wanted them to hold the truck because I had just gotten out of out patient surgery (anesthesia). I really didn't want to make a deal under those conditions but they absolutely would not hold the truck. They could've cared less.
The truck was the courtesy vehicle with 4164 miles on it. This was Aug 2018. They said the vehicle had never been titled. Sold as new. My warranty date is 2/28 and I can't get Ford to reset my Warranty to my sale date. Wade Ford was an unnecessary hassle all the way around. Never go back.

Byers Ford, in Delaware Ohio is the winner of the worst Ford dealership award for me. Bought a Certified Pre-Owned Explorer for a decent price, only to discover inside of a week that the jack and owners manual were both missing. When I returned to get them to make good on the CPO criteria, the "salesman" replied "Ya shoulda checked it over better before you bought it"...
End of the story is I bought both a jack and manual on EBay for $10 total and have not been back to Byers in 10 years, and have purchased 6 vehicles in that time period. You have to wonder just what the CPO sales pitch really amounts to, huh ?
Too bad, as this dealership is a 10 minute walk from my home. I was so pissed about the jack and manual that I think about that episode every time I happily drive to Germain Ford in Dublin OH for everything Ford related.

North Star Ford Calgary AB
Year and a half ago walked into Northstar Ford wanting to buy a used F-150. Saw one I liked sat in it took it for a spin, went to talk price and when they realized I wasn’t just going to roll over and pay full asking they said “sorry truck is actually sold... we had forgot”. I then asked them to keep an eye out for one similar and gave them my number.
2 months later I bought a new truck from a different dealer. That’s when they finally called me back and said they couldn’t find what I wanted. I told them I had already bought new and they should have responded sooner as they lost the sale.
Fast forward to a week ago. I brought my truck into northstar ford for the seatbelt tensioner recall and to get a patch on a hole I had plugged in my tire. Had an appointment for 830am didn’t get the truck till 5pm and when I got home I noticed they damaged my rim. Scratches all around the outer edge. I called the manager and still haven’t heard back. Definitely not impressed.

Oh NO! Not another pity party. Leave that to the RAM boys. Ford dealers are the best right... right? C'mon I'm joking so don't get all torqued and bust your axles. I agree there will be good ones and bad ones but much of it is your attitude and expectations. You come in with high expectations, I can assure you that you will be disappointed. Some dealers are crooks and scammers but the word gets out and they won't be for long. Most of the major Ford dealerships in my area have been in business for many years and employ many of the same people who have made it their career. Now, disclaimer is that I have not had to deal with any of them over some type of vehicle issue, warranty or service problem. That might change everything but so far, its been a pretty good experience from Ford and I have bought several new ones.

Citrus Motors in Ontario California. Was looking for 13-14 Limited Expeditions for my wife. Found a nice grey 2013 they had posted all over the used car sites online. Price was decent and i called them up and we went down to test drive it. The sales guy had to go look for it in the back. He finally found it, all dusty from sitting, but we drove it and it drove fine. I tried the sunroof and it was jammed shut. Also the front seat headrests were replaced with goofy flimsy ebay headrests with the monitors built in. no support for your head in an accident. we went in and i spoke to the sales manager about the safety issue with the junky headrests and the non working sunroof. said id buy the truck if those were fixed. Already had the financing set up and was ready to go. Manager refused to fix the sunroof or put the oem headrests in...said "its certified, take it or we are just going to sell it at auction. we're losing money on it already" i just laughed at him and couldn't believe he was actually serious. went and found a 14 in Phoenix that was cheaper and less miles. bought that instead from a honda dealership that had no clue on what the truck was worth.

Ford dealerships are like the USPS, they have no one to require them to do the correct thing. You cannot file a legitimate complaint against either and have a proper outcome!
in Houston, hands down for me is Joe Myers Ford on 290!
