Well, my winter inserts cover a lot, they just are covered with the usual small holes to let air though. They are the type that companies say to remove during the summer, but they have been in year round since the pickup was new and while pulling a 29' travel trailer in the summer. Even blistering hot 90 degree days pulling and it never gets hot. The cover looks like it has no holes in it but it does, looks better than stock too imo

I had one like that on my 97. I loved it.
