Windshield Window Tint...Help Needed

My new 2022 F150XL base model came with un-tinted windshield and side windows.

Am going to have tint applied by local vendor.

My question: On the windshield behind the rear view mirror some type of mesh is attached too or imbedded in the windshield glass.

Can this area of the windshield be covered with window tint on the inside?

I dont believe tint will stick to that dot-matrix stuff. When I had my windshield tinted, the installer said it wasnt an issue as their templates are precisely cut to fit around that design. I think as long as they are a reputable vendor, they should be able to do the same.

 

I didn't have my whole windshield done (although I kind of wish I did now), but when the tinter did my drop at the top, he cut 2 pieces. He did not go over that mesh area. Looks fine.

 

They tinted right over it on mine and there have been no issues at all.
