I had a slow passenger side window in my 98. It eventually wouldnt raise or lower despite my being able to hear the window motor turning when the button was pressed. Turned out, the inside gearing was stripped. Its just plastic inside. I had to replace the motor to the tune of about 30 bucks. Plopped it in, screwed it on... voila. Working window.
