Default Window Locks

Have a '14 SCREW and my window lock only locks the rear windows, not front passenger. This normal or is something out of whack?

It's easier to just slap somebody in the front seat, than lock their window

Normal. I've never seen a car with child proof windows up front.

My wifes 2013 Kia Soul locks the passenger front window when the lock is on. Only window that works with the lock is the drivers I believe.

"conventional design thinking" on this matter is that adults or children old/wise enough to know better will be the only people in the front seats of the vehicle ... therefore, having the locking system keep the passenger from messing with the window wouldn't be necessary.

however, we all know that this isn't always the case.

it would be NICE if you could choose whether or not the window lock prohibits use of the rear windows only, or all windows other than the driver's window.

You can hold the window switch up or down and prevent them from moving it. I've done this on several instances when "gassing" the old lady or a buddy.
