White Smoke on Startup.
I am looking for some answers or help. I have a 2017 F150 with the 2.7 EB. The engine was manufactured in June 2017. It currently has 92,000 miles on it. I have the dreaded, aggravating white smoke on startup. I have been dealing with it for some time now. The first time it smoked, I took it on, and they did the replacement of the "oil supply line" to the driver's side turbo. A few months later, the smoke returns, and it seems to have gotten worse. I took it back to the dealer, and after being there an entire week, they said it was normal.
This is what they printed out and gave to me...said it was SSM 47557, which states, "Some smoke during cold start is normal for EcoBoost engines due to their unique fueling characteristics."
I'm not buying that answer. It seems to me that the dealership is just pushing the issue off. The Mechanic said that he had never seen anything like it before. I'm not a mechanic but somewhat mechanically inclined (whatever that means). When I bought the truck, I did purchase the extended warranty until 125,000 miles. However, if the dealer isn't fixing it, what am I supposed to do? I'm one of those that doesn't like the issue happening, so I'm to the point of replacing the driver-side turbo myself or at least starting there. Any help, advice, or comments are greatly appreciated.

so a little inside baseball here. That SSM from ford basically means they will not pay for any warranty repairs for that concern unless it can be proven without a doubt that there is a problem there. I wouldn't blindly replace parts though
I think all ecoboost's (at least in the F150) have white steam in colder weather.
Unless you're in the southern hemisphere, it probably isn't cold where you live.
How long does the smoke/steam last? Is it every time you start it, and/or only when it is cold, but daily?
Mine is not steaming now that it's beyond Spring, but mine, and most every other one are notorious for it to bellow out a lot of white in colder situations.

I live in southeast TN so the weather is typical hot int he summer and cold in the winter. Here lately it's been real hot, excess of 100. The smoke will last a good 5-10 seconds after startup and that happens after it sits and cools down for a while. It definitely does it every morning on startup, but if it sits at the office for 4-5 hours, it does it then as well, although not as bad.
but, it's not steam, its legit smoke. the mechanic took a whiff of it and said, its fuel? I considered fuel to exhibit black smoke?

Sounds like they're saying that the injectors leak fuel in to the combustion chambers. The mechanic said the smoke smells like fuel. Does your oil smell like fuel? The fuel could be getting blown through the system, not burning. That's why it's not black. It's probably gasoline and water vapor.

Well the question or questions would be, is this really normal? Is it bad seals on turbo or bad injectors?
